EDC Vegas Tickets

Now that tickets are finally hitting everyone's mailboxes, I was wondering how this is going to work. My friend bought my ticket and from what I've seen, they're cards. Like gift cards. No wristbands?

If they are only cards, I wonder if you have to exchange them at the gate for a wristband. Seems to me a card can easily be lost.

Any thoughts or insights?

theyve been cards for a while now. you get the gate. they swipe them like a credit card. your name pops up on their computer. you go in.
i dont think they verify your card name with your id. they do check your id to make sure youre over 18 though. but thats when you get the pat down before the gate.
if theyre lost/stole. youre still on file and you have to go see will call i think. they issue you a new card based some sort of verification. guessing the same credit card/id it was purchased with.

Thanks. So my friend bought my "ticket" and I'm probably going to sell mine because I only planned to go one night, either Friday or Sunday.

If I go Friday night, I'd sell as a Sat/Sun ticket.

If I go Sunday (which is likely), I'd try to sell now and try to buy a pass to get in on Sunday.

How does selling this thing work? If my friend bought it for me, their name is in the system, right? But from what I understand, at the gate they're only checking to see if it is valid or not? Regardless of whose name is on it?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they do not care about who purchased the card at the gate when they swipe it.
Correct it's your friend's name in the system, so if you lose your ticket that was purchased by your friend he/she will have to go to will call and contact flavorus and work out a replacement for you.

If you're only going Sunday, i suggest you just wait until last minute on Saturday to buy it from someone who's done with their fri/sat to score the best deal.

If you're only going Friday, then find a buyer now and ask them to put down a deposit with you to reserve that Sat/sun portion.

We sold our Sunday tickets last year on Craigslist. We listed them in the morning and had over 50 texts/phone calls. Sold them in the lobby of our hotel with in 5 mins.
