| Its not a planet, just a large mass of rocks, about half the size of Pluto. If the discovery of this mass weakens the fact that Pluto is a planet, then this isn't one. |

I heard this too. Quaoar lies in the Kuiper belt, which is where most of the comets come from. Likely not a 'planet' but it is an orbiting satelite of our sun. |
