Is Soho still an area that has several record stores?
I have been finding some gems in charity shops of all places.
Down in London in a few weeks and hoping to kill a few hours going through some vinyl.
Trance, progressive, house.....
Any guys in London advise please? |

Yes it is. I went to a few stores around Soho. Plenty of goodies there. The one that stood out the most was Phonica. Great selection of underground house and techno. A lot of cool compilations too. I can't recall the rest of the top of my head.
If you come across some cool stores, please do share. |

| Last time I was in London, I remember being shocked by the stuff at just the corner Oxfam! And I believe Dave King made a terrific mix a few years back with stuff he found at a similar charity store. |

| I was in London a couple of years back and spent a whole afternoon record shopping in Soho. Phonica is great as mentioned, and there was another one nearby that also had some great stuff, although the name escapes me. |

| As I mentioned in the latest purchases thread, the stuff people drop off at Oxfam in Southampton city centre is absolutely ridiculous. If you're into old school goa trance, Stay Up Forever-type acid techno and progressive house/trance, for instance, the place is an absolute gold mine. It's too bad I don't have a pair of decks, otherwise I'd be cleaning that place out on a regular basis. |
