| oh ok, so your whole basis on that this style is commercial is because one of the tracks i posted is a remix of a commercial song; even though its in a completely different style.. Thats just like saying that a dubstep remix of fur elise is actually a classical song. |

| well theres that and the fact it sounds like commercial crap, people tend to judge by their ears not a name or tiesto would still be classed as good ye |

| If its commercial it would be easy to find other tracks like it? Could you link some for me? I'm having a hard time finding more for some reason :) |

Yeh it's pretty commercial progpsy and it's pretty popular at some kinds of events. It's already pretty popular here and it's not more popular than it is generally cos it's simple and gimmicky. It'a also somewhat new, there wasn't that sortof a sound 5 years ago really.

It's definitely psytrance, it just happens to be commercial and crap.
It's commercial because it ing is. It's the kind've stuff a certain friend of mine plays for crowds that don't normally listen to psytrance. The kind've psytrance that people who primarily like melbourne bangas or cheesy euro trance/electro prefer. It's also far higher up on the beatport charts than the majority of other psy styles. What indications are there that it isn't commercial? |

i don't know what your looking for though, I'm sat listening to this through my tv but i can't see the difference in the baselines you posted from a bog standard isreali pay trance track like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye8IfydILwg
its just all the rest which to me sounds like a miss mash of current styles thrown on top, you could probably swap that baseline in the calvin harris rmx for a hard style kick/bass combo and it would still "work" (in a sense). |

| I'm guessing you're talking about the calvin harris remix still; that song wasnt a very good example i guess, because the only part of it that was the actual style im talking about is the drop at 1:55. Theres definitely a lot of difference between that and the psy track you posted though. |

| The track that was just posted is full on psytrance. It's not much like the tracks in the OP. |

Those links at least the second one led to a really badly produced breaks track. System j description makes me think of that style I guess they all Melbourne bounce/shuffle. It is like the worst of hard house , psytrance amd electro fused into a super turd.
If you want ADHD music were complexity has no purpose and to seems like someone is trying to use as many dofferent sounds as possible, I believe they call thst complextrro. |

This argument might make a shred of sense if "commercial" was a genre rather than an adjective. Sadly not. |

"Doof" is also the German word for "stupid". |
