| 30 seconds!!!! 30 damn seconds!!! Ugh what a blow. Obviously coming back from down a goal to take the lead was huge but to end up with a draw like that is going to hurt. Think its going to be real tough to make it out of this group now, which stinks because in my opinion I thought the US outplayed Portugal for large swaths of this game. Passing and attacking were much better than the game against Ghana. Here's to holding out hope against the Germans! |

Whats to prevent the US and Germany from just playing a relaxed game? With a draw, they both advance. |

If i were them (either team), I would exactly do that just to prevent any injuries happening during the match. |

Klinsmann seems completely opposed to it. Not only that, they are playing for the best seed out of the group. Much better to play the runner up of the group where Belgium come out as the first seed. I believe it would be either Algeria or Korea. Although, Algeria have looked pretty dangerous, even in their loss to Belgium. There's a lot of skill on that team. |

I was surprised when I saw 5m of stoppage time.. that's a lot! That game was for USA to put a nail in the coffin. Especially, the way they played but that cross by ronaldo, WOOOW!
USA just might get eliminated. They better hope they at least get a tie bc Ghana is an extremely tough squad w/ a lot of heart- how they're not finding the back of the net is beyond me. I have it that they'll spank Portugal by at least 2 goals, and if USA loses, which I believe will happen, they'll be kicking themselves in the arse for allowing that final play in the Portugal game unfold and cutting their Brazil trip short.
I hope Colombia gets to play Italy instead of Uruguay in the knockout round. I feel like we have a better chance against them and I'm scared of Uruguay.
Biggest surprise of the world cup thus far:
Croatia! Who are these guys??
Netherlands v Mexico
Brazil v Chile
these are going to be some really good matches! Can't wait for next week. |

| Usa and Germany will have an understanding to play for a draw, but I hope not. I want to see a good game. Ghana can win big against portugal if they can get there shooting boots on. |

Did you mean Costa Rica?
Croatia is a very good team with a lot of talented players from all the major leagues in europe. I just knew they wouldn't make it out of the groups, because for some reason no matter how many good players eastern european teams have, more often they play well, but come up short in the world cup. It's very rare to see them advance far in a world cup. |
