And you're no longer allowed to complain about China. I thought you, of all people, would have internet speeds similar to mine :p |

It slows down when I use my VPN, which I essentially need to view anything interesting due to the Great Dumb Firewall of China. It is not bad today, but on some days it can make me rage.
The internet in China is cheap at least. I paid about 375$ up front for a full year of internet an TV service.
North American service providers are really taking the piss. They are robbing people blind and not investing a penny into improving their sub standard service that is lesser than that of some 3rd world countries. |

When plugged directly into the WAP that is, on my computer I only get like a tenth of that, presumably due to the cheapo powerline adapter i'm using. I seriously can't be bothered to change that though, I really don't see the need.
I only changed to fiber because it's the same price as cable was for me and it does make a difference on the TV front. |

| You know it is bad if your state ranks below Hawaii, a off island thousands of miles from anything. |

My new house is ed for anything telco related, despite being 1 suburb away from the CBD. I used to get 16Mb/s DSL and full bars on my phone at my old place. Now I get 6Mb/s and zero bars. I literally have to go outside every time I want to make a phone call. |
