Hello mighty TA community! I bought a laptop which operates on Windows 8 32/64 bit. I am unable to find an updated driver to connect my M-Audio Oxygen 61 silver (the cd which came with it has outdated driver). What alternative drivers can you advise me? |

There is no windows 8 driver for that model.
You can alter the .inf so w8 thinks it's a correct driver as seeing as their basic architecture isn't that far removed from one anotehr, it should work but two caveats:
1, It might not have full functionality
2, You'll have to go in to w8 and allow unsigned drivers (the moment you change the .inf it will ruin the "signed driver" status so there is a way to completely remove that section in the .inf but for it to install you'll have to allow unsigned drivers.
Let me know if you're up for it and I'll post instructions but bear in mind, I don't have that keyboard here so it will be like a blind cesna pilot telling you how to land your 747 :toothless |

Any sort of help would come really handy, cheers! I am really surprised tho what according to M-Audio team should do those who have old gear but new OS? Why don't they offer a solution? |

I know I can but I'd rather go with a fix-what-you-have option. Do you know if drivers for other controllers might work for my midi-keyboard? |
