I am looking for some prog tunes (or maybe even hard trance tunes) that are dark and evil... creepy basslines, haunting effects, scary synths.. u know the deal... any suggestions? So far i have in this area:
Roland Klinkenberg - Inner Laugh (Jamez Holden Mix)
Bodyshock - Ghosts in the Church
Oliver Lieb - Subsonik (Filterheadz Mix)
Epsilon 9 - Life Formation
Sasha - Bloodlock
As i am relatively new to progressive, i don't really know where to turn to find more tunes like these. Can you all help?

I just posted a topic very similar to this one. I wouldn't call the following tunes "evil" but they do have a dark and atmospheric sound to them and I think thats what you are seeking. Here are my suggestions (incidently these are the tunes I just used for my last mix so I'll put them in order):
John Creamer and Stephane K - Numb
Moshic - Not in front of U
Flash - Megatron (promo)
4th Orbit - Deep Isolation
Ben Camp - Burning
Satoshi Tomiie - Love In Traffic (Satoshi Tomiie Dark Path Mix)
DJ NUKEM - Music Play {original mix}
Graffik - A Lesser Man (Satoshi Tomiie remix)
Main Element - Take Me Down (Infusion Remix)
Lexicon Avenue - From Dusk Till Dawn (Sander Kleinenberg Mix)
Oh and I used "Vangelis - Blade Runner (Bootleg) - 19 - Japanese Woman's Blimp song" for the opening track. *shrug* It works. :)

Oh yeah. Nothing like dark, dirty progressive with chunky beats and thick synths
Oliver Klein - Shakedown(dub)
This has got to be THE darkest track I've ever heard, and I listen to alot of prog.
Breeder - Sputnik(NY FM Mix)
Featured on Digweed's GU14. Really drving bassline and intense melody empowered by some out of this world synths.
Interflow - Storyreel(Satoshi Tomiie Mix)
2 versions: one with vocals and without. The vocal mix sounds a little cheesy because the woman singing sounds like a 70's disco diva singing on a really dark backdrop. Nonetheless a very good prog tune
Breeder - New York FM(Tilt remix)
Another quality Tilt remix on a classic track. |
