Uh, if you want to mistreat your ears and get tinnitus or hearing loss, that's fine... but the rest of us are going to take care of our ears in ALL situations where we experience loud sounds, wherever that might be, alright?
big dave
so are these an actual worthwhile purchase? are there any other decent ones available or are these ones the best?:conf:

Etymotic is the best that any of us know of... if you want earplugs to block out everything, get something at a pharmacy. If you want earplugs to only block out what's dangerous, get some Ety's.

well im saying if u can't take it in your room then you might as well give up because if u can't stand it at low volume, what hope do u have at a high volume.

absolutely..... if your ears cannot withstand high volumes and you have to wear ear plugs, the surely that will make it hard to hear in the headphones. Thats why all the pro's are using this new thing on the market, its called a 'Buttplug3000', what it does is, its a 3 inch long thin tube that you insert into your anus before your set, and it cushions your from all the vibrations from your eardrums.... because the two are connected, so dampening the vibrations in your ass makes for a subtle clear crisp sound in your ear. picotto uses one, and tiesto, ask them about it next time you see them. tiesto mainly uses his finger tho. :D

If you have to joke about losing your hearing, thats alright... but it's not a matter of 'just taking it'. I'm not talking about whether you are comfortable or not in a loud environment... i'm talking about protecting your hearing, you know? There's a difference.

If I'm going deaf at least I'm having fun doing it.

Jay have u not heard of the pvd2000, it's the new model tiesto uses, apparently it's made to german specifications and is a new 3 pronged model, not only does it stick something up his ass, but his his ears too, leaving him unable to hear what he's playing and also swelling his brain to mammoth proportions

Apparently Oakenfold has one on order
