What (now famous) DJs fscked up their first real gig ?

I read somewhere that Roger Sanchez really ed up when he played
at Gatecrasher for the first time and therefor the tune "Another Chance"
was somewhat a revenge for his mistakes.
Firstly, does anyone have any more info on what the hell he did so
wrong, did he trainwreck even before he started mixing or what ?
And secondly, what DJ/DJs has ed up so bad that their rep was
so damaged that they might not get another gig ?
Interesting topic imho in contradiction to all fame & glory storys. ;) |

| First time that sasha was supposed to play together with john digweed.....he did not show up and the next week he did not show..then showed the third week. A week before John Digweed's first gig, his father died and he had to cancel it. Fortunately Geoff Oakes (renaissance head promoter) had enuf faith to bring him back. Sasha in his first gig....barely had enuf records to finish the alloted time. ON his last record, the time was up. Paul Oakenfold was in massive debt when he got his first gig. Timo Maas got booted from a club that he played at because he played techno. |

I saw an interview once and Paul Oakenfold claimed he lives his life in debt.
