I've been on Turntables for a while but would like to add a CD table to my set so I can mix those hard choons that I cant find anywhere or are outrageously priced.
I ONLY need one. I dont care about all the fancy smancy features it has. All I care is about if it's easy to search thru a song and cue as well as decent sound quality and from a respectable company that does not outrageously price their stuff.
If you guys have any input on this, that would be much appreciated. This would be going with my 2 Stanton STR880 turntables + my Rane TTm56 mixer and my Vestax PCV275 (which i'm trying to get rid of).
thanks ;) |

| well i'm trying to at the moment. But seriously speaking, extra features on a CD table is ridiculous and unnecessary. SOme of that money i get back goes to more records |

It depends what your price limit is.
A standard and good addition would be the Pioneer CDJ-100S which is very reliable from $300 and less. There is also the CDJ-700, though its >$200 more expensive. But the best choice would be the CDJ-100 |

| was lookina g the Gemini 10/15/20. That kinda gives you an idea of a price limit. Has anyone heard of the reliability on the Geminis? |

I say go for the 100s, atm I'm spinning with 2 of those and they are perfect...no extra megasuperduper things, just the three effects that you hardly ever use but on the other hand alsmot aint paying for either :)
and as for cueing in songs it's very easy to do with the 100s, either you can search with the jog or with small forward/backward buttons and so on
go for it I say :) |

| Cheapest CDJ-100S is just under $300 I think.. around $285 probably. You will probably be fine with the Gemini CDJ-20 I think. They go for around $150-$200. |

| If you cant spend as much money for the CDJ-100's, there is the Gemini CDJ-30 which is exactly the same as the Pioneer CDJ700. It goes for $200 on eBay and the upper CD-400X model which has effects and master tempo is around $20-$25 more on eBay. The CD-400X is a good model with semaless loop and a few extra effects over the CDJ-100, but if you want pure quality the Pioneers are the way |
