I am curious what plugins I would need to get sounds like this trance mix from youtube.

Some of my favorite parts art at 3:08, 10:50, 29:12, 32:09, 38:13, 41:23, and 50:50.
I just now figured out that using guitar hardcore effects was not the way to go to get those sounds lol. Anyways I hope you guys can help. There is so much to learn. Hopefully it all works out because I'd love to write 1 to 2 hour mixes. |

| i dont use fl but to make trance sounds you need a synth, some reverb, delay, flanger, phaser, that will take care of most sounds. |

First one is just a saw synth with a degrader effect on it and attack modulation set to maybe in between +60-+70 to give it that reverse bass sound. Second one is the same, third one as well, with another bass synth over it. The lead synths on that track both sound like square waves with distortion effects. Fourth one is pretty much the same as the first 2. The lead on the track I believe is also a distorted square, potentially a saw wave layered with a square. Last one is the same distorted reverse bass formula...basically all you need is some vsts.
Most of them offer a way to add a distortion filter. FL Studio comes with the other plugins you would need, reverb, delay, EQ, etc. I'd personally recommend reFX Nexus and Lennar Digital Sylenth; these have been my favorite synths to use.
I believe Nexus' Hardstyle expansions will provide you with some of the sounds you want, but the whole package is expensive.
Sylenth is about half what Nexus will cost you and you can create your own sounds, unlike Nexus, which is purely a rompler. It's a good one though, especially if you're at sound design like I am...I can't make a good sounding synth from scratch to save my life... |

What do you mean a degrader effect? |

Like a bit crush effect. Gives it a little bit of a gritty sound. |

| Syletnh1 might be something you want to look into for VST. |
