So, let's see who is your favourite progressive DJ so far?
I based my list only on GU collection...
torontotrance
where is sander kleinenberg on the list?

1.Sander K (saw him twice this year, met him twice)
2.Steve Lawler
3.Sasha
4.James Holden
SASHA in 5 DAYS!

p.s - darren emerson is HOUSE not prog.....he plays house, disco house and tech house.
bluE_Neon
mecha you should of made an option for picking 1 or 2 dj's...i can't pick just one, coz it isn't far :)

As I said before I only based my list on GU collection, not Nu Breed
collection.

Marcin, i guess u right about choosing more then 1 Dj, but still make a decision...
infinity HiGH
Dave Seaman and Sasha.

Satoshi Tomiie, John Digweed and Steve Lawler are like tied for 2nd tho, heheh.
torontotrance
tomiie was crap when i saw him in june tho...then lawler came on and tore the house apart.

hmm based on GU wise?? tough one, Oakie's old GU's are absolutely the ! Nick Warren is obviously the most respected GU DJ & one the best progressive doctors ever lived(in process of making GU024 in Iceland, 5th for him) :) John Digweed, no introduction here. Sasha needs no info either. Dave Seaman, one word - TALENT. Darren Emerson, he's too quiet these days :conf:

so from the list, after some thought its a tie between Dave Seaman & Nick Warren. Dave Seaman, coz he doesn't get the recognition and respekt, same goes for Nick Warren. Digweed & Sasha are way too known, but im not saying their overrated, they play absolutely beautiful sets, but my vote goes from the respekt and recognition wise. so in the end its Dave Seaman :)
Linx_da_cat
i dunno...prolly between sander k and holden.

gu024 better be good....he needs to make up for the lousy gu018 which was horrible.....gu011 was warren at his best....

Heatscore
Sasha's got to be the best in that list with honourable mention to Nick Warren. I'm sure anyone who has heard GU 9 or 13 would agree...

I hear good things about the new GU with James Lavelle...looks like global underground is really keeping things fresh.

wow, GU018 was horrible??? you seem like you know a lot about progressive but then you make this comment which totally lacks the knowlegde, but hey its your opinion, i expected a better explanation, not a lame one...i say GU018 was his best yet and Warren fans agree here too, GU011 was alright coz he played lot of "easy" proggie-trance in it, which most of people cud understand :eyes: (maybe even you) GU018 is not for trance like. it is strictly VERY UNDERGROUND melodic, euphoric, housey, breaky & progressive tunes that really weren't relased till this day by some of the artists, songs like Weekend World Presents - The Word, Ariane - Eternity, Soul Driver - States of Mind...and for everyone's information all GU albums contain songs that aren't released, coz they are usually remixed by the DJ who makes the album for e.g. remix of Breeder - New York FM (Digweed's GU014 Mix) was never released on a vinyl, remix of Oakie's CM - Dream Universe (GU007), was also never relased. these are just some of the tracks from the top my head that i know but there are many others. this is one of the fundamental components that Global Underground has been known for.
bleh i know no one cares, but hey ive been into GU for some time :)
