The scene here in NEW ORLEANS is going strong with the likes of KIMBALL COLLINS,SANDRA COLLINS,OAKENFOLD,MAX GRAHAM,GEORGE ACOSTA,ATB,DAVE SEAMAN,and "KING" TIESTO,all appearing within the past three months.Raves are pretty much on the quiet but the club scene is thriving, the venues allow for very close interaction with the artists with the avg. attendance for these events being around 1200.I would like to add that TIESTO played here on april 20 (3hr+ set)and then stayed a long while after his set mingling and partying(he is way too cool, he claims he wants to come back in late july).I would like to give huge props to the best live set i've seen being GEORGE ACOSTA he was simply incredible,DO YOURSELF A FAVOR see this guy,he is the resident at SHADOW LOUNGE in MIAMI and is nothing short of AMAZING.

again I'll be the one to stir up some conterversy ... hehe.

to everybody who thinks that big-name DJs automatically make a good and vibrant party scene, you're SO dead wrong. The only thing resulting from that approach is a commercial and money-driven scene - which is BAD BAD BAD ... keep that in mind !

There are clubs around here but they're pretty much cheese. So I'd have to say it's basically non-existant.

Haha cmon wat about Stratus and the Pegasus????? No but seriously the scene here blows left and right. Ocassionally this weekly club event, groove, brings some decent dj's to town but never big name international dj's and it's few and far between. Next weekend baby, Dara, AK1200, and Dieselboy! It's not trance but they're good D&B dj's so I guess I'll have to deal.

i dont live near detroit but its about a 30 minute drive from where i am. there is practically no good dj's that ever come. people usually get shot or stabbed while they are dancing at underground raves. crazy man. i guess the clubs are pretty good though.

hey JeffCee I agree with you about what you say about the LA scene. It sure is improving! I was at Giant NYE 2002 and PVD was awesome! And I have heard he is gonna be back at Giant NYE for 2003! Anyhow, I am also gonna be going to see Tiesto spin at Spundae, Hollywood on Nov. 2nd. And this past weekend I went to Monster Massive and Judge Jules spun in the main room. So far, Spundae and Giant are my fav clubs, and yes =( they are 21+, but hey I got some fakies and I'll be 21 soon.:haha:  :tongue2

In my country [Italy] and especially in my area don't exist a trance scene :( There are many commercial clubs and some good house and techno clubs like Jaiss & Insomnia where there are djs like Gabry Fasano or Mario +. I like house and techno but there isn't any trance club here and for now i've never gone to a trance club to hear a true trance set
Because of this next year i would go to Germany or Netherlands for a big trance event like Innercity, Sensation, Nature one or Trance Energy to enjoy a true trance party :p

I live 30 mins away from Gatecrasher, and less than 2 hours drive from Godskitchen & Passion. I used to live 10 minutes away from Slinky. So pretty good I reckon :D
