it has come to my attention that no one has any idea what this stupid hippy is talking about so i thought i could share the funniest thing i have heard in a long time
it seems that on her way to canada to see mauro? i believe, rubyriva managed to flush her keys down the toilet at a rest stop....i kid you not folks.....
dont ask me how this is possible, cause if i new i wouldnt be laughing out loud right now, like i have been all morning.....
i hope i didnt embarrass rubyriva too much

caryn - did you at least make it to mauro? |

i did make it to mauro and it was an amazing party with an amazing dj with AMAZING friends!! i give it a: 10/10
this happened on the way home so i never made it to work.
i had to go to the bathroom and get gas, so i stopped at a rest station. i had the remote part of my keys in my mouth and i was flushing the toilet with my foot and as i was holding it down, they fell out of my mouth. (i have done this many times with no problems) funny thing is, for 2 seconds (reaction time a little slow) i just stood there and watched it all happen. then i reacted and tried to get them, and they were GONE. the force that flushes the toilets in that rest stop is like no other...the whole time, i just couldn't believe it was happening.
i immediately went to a manager of the rest station and told him what happened. he said that they were probably in the bottom of 30' of waste. called the plumber, nothing could be done. he recommended i call gm roadside service and get a new key made. BUT this was thanksgiving, and not too much was open. and all i had on me was my id and atm card because that's what i had on me in the club. my purse, cell phone, etc. were in the car. and, i was outside of quebec and i told my mom that i was spending the night with one of my friends in syracuse. i thought i was DONE!
luckily, thankfully, i do not know what i would do without them, nathalie (tatgirl) stopped at the same rest stop with the rest of the TO TAs. i was on my way out to get the VIN # off of my car. i saw nat in line with her fuzzy coat, it was one of the happiest moments of my life.
they stayed at the rest stop with me for at least 3.5 hours waiting for the gm roadside service person to come with a new key for my blazer. i don't know what i would have done without them. i think i would have cried in a corner...
i don't know how i'll ever repay them for their kindness and generousity. they helped turn a really bad situation in to something rather pleasant. i will forever be in debt to: tatgirl, durafei, orangemega, theneonalien, and tony.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! |

Finally the story is out :) I was waiting.
When I first heard from OrangeMega what has happened, I thought that he either was kidding me or I'm completely losing it(possible, considering my state of mind at the time).
Fifteen minutes later we saw Caryn(very upset too) coming out and confirming the story. Fortunately, in this world of technology almost everything is possible, and within *only* 3 hours(I say *only*, because it's simply amazing how you can get a key to your car within 3 hours somewhere in a different country).
Thus Caryn's *peculiar* incident turned a boring car drive home into one of the funnest weekends ever! I'm sure Caryn doesn't even regret the loss of her keys after how much fun we had :D |

Glad everything worked out for you in the end Caryn. Lucky that the picotto mobile pulled in to the same gas station. Wish I was there to "enjoy" the day with you all.
Sounds like you all had a great night too
Next time :clown: |

hehe. i was glad (not glad it was a long process) that my keys flushed down the toilet when i saw nat. because i did not want to leave everyone that morning. so, i guess i wasn't supposed to. i ended up being able to spend the day and thanksgiving dinner (what we ate of it;)) with everyone. yay!!! :D |
