glad didn't take too long for us to get it.

love how he starts the set with peak time bangers then ends it nice and deep with some techno as the sun rises.

Wow what a disappointing set. Mostly mainstream crap, the first hour was especially bad. I was hoping he would throw down some deeper darker stuff since it was at BM.

Going to have to disagree with you bud, there was barely any techno. I miss the old Markus haha.

I was expecting something more like this..

oh you guys are all jaded s... there is some tech-ier things here and for Markus great! Hes not ing umek or funkagenda so what are you expecting?

He plays progressive trance with a darker edge mostly. Hes not going to be freakin' Hawtin overnight nor should he be.

To the rabbit hole we go... I heard enough in tech house bangers all weekend this was refreshing.

A bunch of his recent live sets have been a very different direction for Markus...and not in a good way. His Aug 7 world tour...a lot of SMH

yea, I agree.

I was hoping the NWP sound wouldn't cross over to Markus Schulz sets, but now they both sound the same. Guessing the Ferry influence is to blame here.

I've also noticed that Markus hasn't used the 'rabbit hole' phrase in a while, but we'll see how is Canada sets sound like this month. (solo at the GUV and a set at stereo)

hopefully he releases a Dakota album soon and shuts us up.

i know Markus has gotta do what he's gotta do and play stuff to appease the new generation of clubbers/festival goers, and while i did enjoy the last 30 min of his BM set, i really thought it would just be 3 hrs of rabbit hole/techno since most burners are into that kind of music anyways.

wasted opportunity i guess. :-/

:wtf: holy that set is crazy, the drums in each track are solid and highly defined.

My camp had a meet up @ Markus' Burning Man set. Of the 20 people in our camp, 18 left within 15 minutes for groovier pastures. Even Above & Beyond before him was a much better time.

Funkagenda's set, WOW!

anyone have any other sets similar?
