Hi, I have the possibility to purchase a vestax pv 270a mixer. Im not worried about the price because it is fairly cheap. I want to know what you guys think about it. Im currently using a numark dm2000x right now. Does the 270a have split cue? I need to know if I should go for it, or if it doesn't have some mandatory functions etc.
Once again, $$ isn't an issue, I just need to know the technical pros and cons and if you would recommend it.
Thanks in advance, Caleb |

if by split cue u mean you can hear what's playing live and what's playing on the cue, then no.
If by split cue you mean you can hear what's playing on turntable 1 or 2 or both, then yes.
I'm assumign you're talking about the first one. That's not really mandatory though. Just hit both cue switches on pgm1/pgm2 and beatmatch it in your headphones, then use the monitors mix it live.
the only thing wrong witht he 270a is that it's the predecessor to the pcv275. They're basically the same but the pcv275 has PCV faders for it's x-fader which lets it take a fair amount of abuse if you are a x-fader user. |
