LoL...no offense dude...but u MUST be NEW to the NYC club scene,,,and never went to the Tunnel, Limelight, Nasa, or Twilo ...because they ALL had their drug crowds....
and even Roxy back in the club kids days (93-97) was FILLED with drugs...and i mean FILLED...so where do you off come acting like Roxy is some straight edge club?
like i said u MUST be new to the scene,,,,thats not bad jus dont expect everyone to follow your ways...but REMEMBER that the BEST and i mean BEST club years had clubs that where FILLED with drugs...
personally i only drink..but if someone wants to roll and be SAFE about it and keep it in moderation then i am all for it...let them enjoy their night enhanced the way they want to...they dont come at you for the ways you may party...
i actually went to a rave in 1995 in Brooklyn where i was the only one not on meth...no joke....
and i might wanna add that some of the BEST parties at Limelight on Wednesday nights where run by Mike Alig who was probally the number one club kid and number one drug dealer in the scene...and people be prepared in 2004 he gets parolled and i bet you anything he will get back on the club circuit with Gaetian and open a new spot...i bet u ANYTHING..and u will see what NYC is all about..not the we have now...bring it back to club kids days...
so people do what u want but be SAFE...and drink ur water:D |

There's a difference between going to a club to get ed up and going to a club to have a good time. I love the music and scene more than anything in my life now. The reason I take what I take is because I want to take something that I love so much and enhance the experience to a point that is almost impossible to reach clean. I am totalty against drinking and other hardcore drugs that make the user unable to function. Factory and Exit had and still have people who are there just to get ed up. It's hard to seperate those types of people from real clubbers who are there for the music and scene. To be able to walk out of a club after taking a few pills and seeing a great dj, and say "I think this was one of the best nights of my life" makes the whole thing worth doing over and over again. To barf all over the floor and be carried out by your friends, forgeting everything that happened the day after kills the scene for yourself and for all those around you.
Don't be fooled. I know most of the people on this board and everyone is in it for the music and scene. Anything we take is taken to enhance our musical experience. Nobody is in this game just to get ed up. Be safe but have fun.

SF 16 hours sober @ Theme party - doing on regular basis, key is to keep moving and hit 4th floor on regular basis for oxygen reload..
Mian floor - rite under stairs is where the AC blows, also a good spot...
exit = OD drugfest for FOBs, agreed..

WOW im happy that we have some Old school people like you on this board. How long have u been going out to partys? I dont think alot of us on heer have met you before...we see you post all the time but havn't met you. 2am Roxy 's second room in the back -peace- |

i am old...LOL.....i went to my first rave in 1990 in Waterbury, Connecticut when i was 15.....so i guess i have been doing this for going on 13 years...since i will be 28 in April.....but the funny thing is i still look like i am 19 or 20.....i still get carded for cigarettes and liquor..LOL LOL....
I USED to be really really into the club scene from 1993 to around late 1998......but like i said that was in the CLUB KIDS days...and if any of you know about those parties you know the crowds that where there.....
Thats when i say NYC was in its PRIME....back then iw asnt really into and particular DJ but more for the people, the vibe and the community that had been established in the clubs....which i may add is nolonger there....now u see these guidos with their little sisters black t-shirts that pump steroids into their bodies and little girls who wear more makeup then Revlon can produce and will F*@ck any guy with a Benz who listen to Flight 643 or The Sound of Goodbye and claim they know what a rave/party is...HA!!...these same people u would never see in Limelight in 94,95 or 96.....
Anyway no i havent met any TAs yet....would be kinda cool.... |

I havn't been going out as long as you man (whats your real name?) but I do remember when Lime light and tunnel where the hot spots in the city. I started at the tunnel in 98. I also understand you point about the absent minded dumbasses who roam alot of the clubs these days who would rather go to a Sex party at exit than see tiesto at Roxy. :haha: |

I got this in the mail. It was on the kitchen table during dinner with the family. Dad passes it to me and say "What's this" I didn't know what to say. He opens it up and it has two lesbieons making out. Kinda like one of those centerfold posters from a playboy magazine. Underneith it talks about A sex stimulation contest. Now what are my parents gonna think when I say I going out to a party in the city Friday night. There going to think Tiesto is the name of the head Dominator of the Exit Sex party. |
