Friday September 26th
Verboten presents
John Digweed
with jozif & Brad Miller
Verboten

Verboten is proud to welcome Bedrock mastermind John Digweed for an extended master class in unadulterated sonic perfection. Many of us cut our teeth in nightlife with long nights at Digweed's seminal Twilo residency, and are beyond excited to see what he'll do with our Martin Audio soundsystem (newly tuned for the occasion). He's joined by two Verboten residents: frequent DJ partner jozif and Brad Miller.

| Of the 10+ times I've seen diggers in miami and la this had to be the worst crowd I have ever experienced. Don't know if that's the verbeton scene but omg it was terrible |

The music was banging! Best set I have ever heard from Digweed!
He just keeps getting better. He takes you on a journey. Starts you off slow then gradually gets more aggressive as the night goes on. The sound is dark and deep but then he hits you with uplifting and throws in some dirty techno as well. His set was like a fusion of house, techno, and trance. Not only individual songs linked together but within the songs themselves. An expert at sound manipulation and playing with sounds. Just when you think he will drop it, he makes you hang on for another ten seconds. I missed the set at Output last year but everyone said that was one of the best shows of the year. It was on virtually everyone's Tranceaddict top 5 list of 2013 thread. The crowd was kind of cold and at first. People bumped into me. Especially this one girl who had blue glowsticks. As the night went on, it got better. When you get tired of the main room you just bounce to the second room where people were dancing REALLY hard. Love the energy. People were breakdancing and going hard in the paint. I left at 4:30 so I don't know what time he finished up. My friend who has seen him 8 times in the last 18 months said this set was the best. She thought it was better than the one at Output last year.
Thoroughly impressed. |

I would have to agree - that was Digweed at his best, especially the first 2-3 hours which were absolutely FLAWLESS. After that I thought it become a little bit more standard, but still really really good. He's truly one of the best, if not the best DJ on the planet and he proved it on Friday.
Honestly not sure about the crowd comment earlier - yeah it was packed to the gills right when he got on but after an hour or so there was a bit more room to dance and everybody was just die-hard into the music. To be fair I wasn't in the middle of the floor, but even early in the night you could tell people were there to be challenged since I played some craaazy deep tracks and people seemed to be into it :) Really really amazing night. |

I don't get that crowd comment either.
Like Brad said, it was packed but people weren't bad. Definitely it wasn't as horrible as it was during the ezoo weekend.
Digweed was in his element, I loved every minute of his set. |

Just kind of meant it was packed and it was hard to get by some people. Other than that, it was phenomenal.
Loved the build up over the first two hours. He really does take you on a journey. He kind of reminds me of John 00 Fleming. Makes you work for it
Also, found out the name of my favorite song of the night.
