i wont probably wont be there this week, 4 days to complete an assignment which should probably be done over 4 weeks :(
so unless i decide im totally ed and doomed with the assignment i wont be there this week |

pretty small turnout :(
nothing wrong with the dj's, we all played good sets
but
the manager wants "in people in my pub" thus he thinks we should "play music people know"
I give up really, you go out on a limb to give something to my uni, and not one of them rocked up... they complain about having nothing to do during uni, and then when there is something, they don't rock up :mad:
we had more people from posting up on internet sites, than handing flyers around at uni :conf:
I have a pretty t up issue to sort out with myself, I don't wanna put on dj's to play commercial crapola in order to get people in, I hate the idea, but how else am I supposed to get people to turn up? I don't have the money to go on mass media marketing campaigns, I don't have the money to pay for commercial jocks either...

I'm gonna try and work for next week, and maybe the end of semester, but if I can't get it to work then obviously I'll give my crusade up. |

I've teed up this young guy who's about 15/16 to play some commercial stuff :( he's a good bloke and knows what real music is, he just buys crap so he can play at parties :P
I'm gonna keep it cool get some deep/funky house dj's down, I think the prog was too hard for the venue, might have some more liquid funk at the end of the night for good measure
I'll give u some more details later in the week |

Due to another unforseen change in management at the Orient, Fresh has been cancelled indefinitely
I will no longer contemplate holding an event at the Orient Hotel, enough said.
However, my plans are to hold a weekly event much to the same design at another location in Fremantle, next year.
Thanks to the dj's who played and asked to play. I'm sorry I couldn't come through with the gigs for you guys, but good luck for your future gigs.
