| I realize this is not the typical genre to post here about but, let's put it this way, for me this genre is related to trance in that I used to go to this awful nightclub because it was the only one near where I lived and I loved dancing and basically was way too desperate, and though I went there because the trance they played happened just like 20% of the time and was worth it to me, about 30% of what they played was reggae. Not really obscure stuff but the closest reggae to pop that exists, such as this song with the lyrics 'I would like to get to know you baby, like to get a piece of that sexy body'...can anyone tell me the names of some other songs similar to this one? I used to hate them, but now that I'm away at college I want to put a couple of them on certain CD compilations whose theme is 'meaningful songs from home'... tnx I appreciate it! |

If your looking for pop chart reggae you should give a listen to these guys:
BEENIE MAN, BUJU BANTON, JEAN PAUL.
Try all three of them and look whose style you like best. |
