I don't think its as good as my last track Viola,

It's different style but not as good inMO (PS this was not a sneaky way to promote two tracks, it was a genuine comparison) |

I actually think the opposite. Viola sounds dated to me, and feels less concise in its flow.
Lonely City feels much more driven, though the bass pads at times remind me of old Adam K & Soha stuff.
The main lead seems out of tune at times with the rest of the track, but then it fades into correctness so I wonder if you've detuned it on purpose.
The production itself is pretty spot on though the pads feel a bit too warm in the mix. You bass lines, percussion, and lead all sounds great though from a mixing and levels stand point.
If I had to say which had better potential as a demo, I'd feel like it was Lonely City. The one thing both lack is that immediate sense of identity. That hook for the ear to hum along with seems absent in both. While I find Lonely City plenty lush sonically, it just seems to lack that one thing to make me groove in my chair. Still, it may be worth shopping if you want to. |
