is In My Memory - Tiesto the perfect trance album???? (pg. 2)

Paradox Lost
What is it about TA and inviting heated discussion on topics that haven't been heated for nearly a decade? I can understand how and why they would come up in some of the older member's 'way back when...' threads, but here's a guy who registers in September of 2014 in order to talk about 'In My Memory,' and defend it against journalistic hate.

Yeah, I don't get it.

Battleship Grey = cut from the same mold as the other cheesy pop tracks.

I think Battleship Grey is a quality tune, if that had been made by Massive Attack it would be an all time classic

Besides Obsession it's pretty good, but all Ronald Van Gelderen.

Never picked up In My Memory, just cared for his DJ mixes.

problem with trance has always been the so called 'loyal old fans'
they don't support the new artist and still stick to the old era
like metal had 'black sabath' and'iron maiden we trance had
'tiesto' and 'armin van burren' (i forgot dash berlin)
why they are hated
because they are talented and so became famous
the old fans only worship the tracks which are made by unknown artists and are utterly boring and ty so called underground
can't we all trance unite and actually acknowledge the best artists
and support them
i have been a trance fan since 2010 because of tiesto's adagio for strings people on this forum hate that track too which has made countless normal pop lover into diehard trance fan

Love the album. But that's no surprise, is it? :o

/my contribution to yet another Tiesto thread.

Move on, folks.

Curious, OP. What do you listen to these days?

You said you've been a trance fan since 2010 because of Tiesto (I can relate).

That said, where has this love of trance taken you along the DM journey? Have you ventured to other genres? Deeper into the proverbial rabbit hole?

We should do a forum search to see how often this unnecessarily defensive argument has cropped up. I predict 1,842 times.

every trancehead knows Suburban Train took a page from Re-Form, albeit they're made by the same person. It still never took away from the track because Suburban Train as a standalone track, is just that good.

i don't see any problem with revisiting the old .

in fact, what are you supposed to do? talk about the new ? that's impossible.

don't talk about something you love? what is this, communist china?!

i have fond memories:toothless of getting ISOS3 and reading the tracing paper insert where tiesto commented that the gabriel & dresden elephant remix of in my memory was better than the original

Trance-M
I send the video of Tripomatic Fairytales 2001 to a friend. He said 2001 - 2004 were the best years for trance.
Then I had to say it was from 1993...
Pretty advanced sound for the time he answered.

There was trance before Armin and Tiesto, and not unknown names in the Trance scene back then. Old fans need to keep it sort of alive...
