Seems like a sane idea having the live tiles and the start menu in the same place. I'm running this system on a spare laptop and it looks decent.
The negative would be Microsoft stealing the idea of multiple desktops which Linux distros are known for. I hated it when they presented such function like something new. |

| Windows 7, until I have to change :P |

| Yeh I was a big fan of windows 8. Metro had limited usefulness and was a bit forced but other than that it's a massive improvement over 7 so I'm feeling optimistic. |

Hey me too. Windows 8 was a winner imo.
I shall be testing out Win 10 when it goes gold. I won't touch the beta just yet. |

First news feed I got today: How to make the Windows 10 start menu look like Windows 7.
I knew enough... Classic shell again.
I will upgrade some systems at work next year, but I'm not in a hurry. |

Meh... already bored with it. :stongue:
The lives tiles aren't a problem so I don't see the need for classic shell. It bothers me though that the Power/shut down button is at the top of the start menu instead of the bottom like before. I'm wasting milliseconds there.
There isn't much of a big difference between 10 and 8.1. It seems their plan is to have testers make the final version and/or are holding back on some great features.
I don't see people buying this though. I predict more layoffs for microsoft for the next season.
Linux distros are still more energy-efficient and more practical. I have Fedora in the same spare laptop and it runs away smoother. |

| I'm a bit disappointed that they brought back the start menu. I don't like to use the thing and i thought the reasons they had for the overhaul in win8 were sound. I'm not sure how the compromise they have now is going to work for me, but we'll see. Maybe it'll be optional. |
