I would have thought that treatment is the way to go rather than monitors. You're probably right at the sweet spot where more money on monitors in well into that diminishing return curve. |

Yeah holmes, its like an analog boost :eyespop::crazy::crazy:
I used a online formula where i measured my room from length and width. It gave me pricise measurement on where to put the monitaurs from the top wall and to side. I read that sitting in the middle of the room was a bad idea and lining the monitors right behind the wall was bad idea too. So i finally got the sweety spot/:) |

I could center the screen but that would be not necessary, i"m totally comfortable palm. The screen makes no difference in my mixing and skooch over little bit to the right when doing final mixdown which isn't a problem. FYI my desk is not a mixing desk. I bought it from office max real cheap.
Now to your setup, you may go insane but I'd commit total suicide and prob bring some with me ha.

lol where did you find that? |
In the amateur section of TA Production, naww i'm jk.
But really i'm real comfortable, I know my head and my screen are not centered but ain't a big deal. The monitors and me share a precise triangle which is more important imo. |

Spot on. You could end up spending $1000 more to get a 5% increase in fidelity.
Beyond a certain point monitors (i.e. focals) other variables such as placement, treatment, what your room is made out of, what dac you have, even how your kit is wired etc will have more of a baring on perceived sound quality than upgrading already expensive and great monitors.
Palm has a point though Jaun - You've got a dedicated room, some very expensive kit, then it's all plonked on a desk that isn't a good fit for you or your listening position. I'm not talking about money - you don't need an expensive/flash looking desk - cheap from ikea or target will often do the job - it's about ergonomics and listening position.
With the way you have it, your head is turned while producing and therefore due to all the usual factors that relate to positioning. stereo field and Panning (i.e. inter-ear arrival times and volume difference etc) you're never going to hear the true L/R balance of a sound until you straighten your head at mixdown. Seems like a unnecessary waste of time and resources.
Get a desk that means you look straight ahead and have your neck at the right position; ANY seasoned TA on here will tell you (ask Alanzo) that the screen at the wrong position can really your neck.
Get the room treatment, but first spend $200 getting/building/adapting a desk that improves your workflow. |

Get a VESA swivel-arm mount for your screen. Problem solved! |

another studio thread where you should be busy trying to make music and get better rather than sitting around stroking your dick about your precious little studio.
make music god dammit. none of this is going to make your music better, and if it does it will be so marginal it won't even matter. |

I'm so excited with treatment so badly that i don't want to touch anything until my panels/traps come if that makes sense. |
