I ended up going to Pete Tong and Seth Troxler a couple weeks back. To sum it up with one word.... DEAD. The hotel was dead, the club was even worse. We went there at about 1am, and there were maybe 50-60 people in the entire venue.
The club itself was just ok. I think it will have a very hard time competing with the numerous other options. I was in a group of 14 or so. My friend had a deal to get free bottles, and we still only stayed about 30 minutes.
I won't be going back. I'll settle for worse music in a place that has some energy. |

i've heard that was basically their slowest Sun. Life in Color was going on at the same time and they prob could do a bit more on the promo stuff. For Richie i understand they had a decent turnout. |

actually they did something you rarely see - they sold out last Sat night for Steve Angello with hundreds stuck outside. And Sunday night with Sasha and Pete Tong was pretty full and the busiest Sunday there (which isn't saying much but it was a good turnout). |

I was there Sat. en nightmare trying to get in. Even people with presales were stuck outside. Pretty much you had to bribe your way in or had to know someone. I saw some paying as much as $300 just to skip the line. that. I was right upfront with my girl until 1230 and the bouncers were acting stupid, so we left. Should've planned in advanced and purchased presale.
On the other hand, SLS is a very nice hotel. Very trendy, very hip. Loved it. It was pretty much a party hotel. My floor was full of party girls. I went to the ice machine and I saw one walking down the hallway topless with just the bottom half of her body wrapped in a towel. Can't complain!

Not sure if this was mentioned on here or not, but after these next few Sundays (ones already planned) are over...no more Sundays.
I hear this about a month ago last time I was there, doubt it has changed. |

this was probably the hardest push for techno and the like in recent years. does this end the possibility of the underground co-existing with the edm scene in vegas? |

i was told it will go to 1 time a month.... the turnout for Sasha and Tong was good enough to continue if the names are big enough IMO. |

Winter time in Vegas is their dead season. Many restaurants inside the casino's even close for the winter season.
I was able to get a table with a decent location with a 1 bottle minimum Saturday night. :toocool: |
