The poll is still a thing? I didn't even know they still did that.

I love how the old prog jocks aren't even mentioned anymore- even Oakenfold didn't get so much as a nod this year.

For years, it's was always 9 trance DJ's and Sasha in the top 10, Digweed and the like in the top 20, and guys like Nick Warren and Dave Seaman somewhere around 30 to 50. , even Seb Fontaine was consistently ranking near the bottom year after year.

Frankly, I'm surprised Hawtin is so low, since this list is such a popularity contest.

Carl Cox at 59 is a nice touch :wtf:

id say its actually got the stage now where DJs dont actually want to be on this list as its kinda embarrassing??

Anyone else notice this year had the least amount of DJ vote spam? I sure didn't notice any, even from the usual whores. Maybe I've just been paying attention to the wrong (and by wrong, I mean right) DJs.

^ I noticed... though it could also be that the advertising was being targeted to the younger demographic or on different media channels
Paradox Lost
The only advertising I remember was from old Myspace spam, which each one beginning with 'It's that time [of the year] again!'
DOOMBOT
I think I recognized a handful of names on that entire list. I've really lost touch I guess.

anybody have any idea where I came in?

Paradox Lost
I think you came in right behind DJ Tiesmi.
Johan (DJ Irish)
Much less spam this year at least (based on a far reaching empirical study of my inbox)

But of course accusations are already flying around. Such as Dmitry Vegas & Like Mike getting top bollywood stars to ask their fans (which ranks in the millions) to support them in the DJ Mag poll :p
