TBH, I have mixed feelings about the WTA needing a mod. Most of us know each other in real life, so we get along fairly well. On the other hand, there's some of you who seem to post here with an attitude and it scares people away. There's been countless times when I'm out and lurkers come up to me and tell me they never post because they feel intimidated.

What I miss most are review threads and (psuedo-anonymous) writeups from the passionate partiers. You really can't trust blogs and the like these days bc most of them are afraid to say anything bad about an event out of fear they won't get media passes to that promoter's next party.
What we have an abundance of these days is pics/videos/livesets from events...and we used to be starving for those before. A tradeoff of the instant gratification technology has brought us to I suppose. |

| good point Swamp. I think I'm going to try and make an effort to post a "review" thread after I go out and party. Since I aint doin the next day (other being hung over) wouldn't hurt to post something interesting. |

Trance might be dead to you but its hardly dead. Trance stages at festivals are still packed. Escape has one of the best trance lineups I've seen in years in the US. Trance night at clubs are packed. And there are other trance forums that are very, very active. What drove everyone away from this one is people like you spouting this . |

Yeah that's a point we mentioned about social media, everyone is afraid to be brutally honest.
Say something bad/true about someone and you're just a hater/ talker. So it's very rare when you see a negative post on Facebook. Instagram, Vine and Snapchat aren't really about "discussion." Only other outlet I really see is Twitter, and that's where some people go off and don't hold back because it's "somewhat" anonymous. But I don't use Twitter so I can't say much regarding it other than what I have seen. |

I don't mind negative comments or reviews about a DJ, event etc. There are DJ's I have seen and didn't like the set and have expressed as much. There are clubs that sucked and I said so. But some people just obsessively go out of there way to talk a DJ (or genre) any time they are brought up. If they went to an event and they sucked, great. Write a negative review and don't go see the DJ again. But get over it. |
