MNW - Standing In The Lights

Hello friends,

I would love some constructive feedback on my latest track, Standing In The Lights! It's my attempt at the poppy trouse sound (that some of you despise); nonetheless, I would very much like to know what y'all think. Right now I'm having the after finishing a track guilt because I know the breakdown drop is way too compressed. Let me know what else I could have done better, or even what I did do very well!

A little bit about myself: in my second year studying at UC Berkeley, and doing music production as a hobby. Maybe if I work hard enough it might become something bigger (who knows!), but I pride myself in a musical style that never compromises musical content. Having had a classical background and an acute ear, I hope I can bring to you something meaningful through my music!

Cheers,
MNW

Melody is good. Pretty nice full sound on the track. Found the hats to be a bit off rhythm at the 1:55 mark

Oh wow, nice catch. Must of misaligned the clip somehow haha. Glad you liked it though!

Yeah, those hats are off :-) but its no tragedy...:)

I like the track, it has an interesting sound a little eclectic genre-wise, a mix of all that you like, I guess

The sound quality is very good and I can say that I like the melodies and the composition too. Good job.

Many other producers could learn here how to make variations to parts that need it, never got bored throughout the whole track.

Sorry for the late reply, but glad you liked it! I totally understand the problem of a lot of current edm music being deathly repetitive, which is why I really enjoyed producing this track.
