GU best tracklist vs best mixing

Was listening to GU018 cd1 this week and i always find reviews saying that it isn't that good as a mix, but the tracklist is absurd. And i agree (yeahhh). Exactly the opposite of GU019, that has godly mixing (the tracklist is really great but the tracks are really non-anthemic ). I also remember Jack commenting about GU013, that one CD has the anthem stuff and the other the trippy journey mix.

So, in your opinion, what GU's have the best tracklist? And mixing? Ofc some of them have a great balance between great tracklist vs great mixing (specially the seaman ones), but sometimes not.

Paradox Lost
Oakenfold's have some of the best tracklistings with the worst mixing.

Best mixing, then? GU: Reykjavik (disc 1, especially). And that's to take nothing away from the exquisite tracklisting, either.

mixing or tracklist? And have been a while since i heard GU025, and i always preferred GU021. And i can't decide if you are being sarcastic or not, since GU025 has some dark tribal prog and you aren't the greatest fan of this style, am i right?

@paradox: indeed. The transition into greece 2000 still scares me. The tracklist is great, though.

Also, i don't specified but my picks were posted: best mixing for GU019 (the 1st cd is the best that i've ever heard) and best tracklist for GU018 cd 1 (endless great progressive from the golden progressive era).

I'm from Toronto ffs. yeah I did criticize dark tribal prog, but I quickly contradicted myself by making a dark prog mix. However I do still think a lot of prog from that era is flat and one-dimensional.

My personal favourite GU is 009, Sasha in San Francisco. Especially CD2.
Syntonic
Is Danny Howells 24:7 eligible? That one would cover both mixing and tracklist for me.

Otherwise, for mixing it would be Darren Emerson's GU015 and for track listing and Digweed's GU006 for mixing(CD1 gets so heavy towards the end)

on both fronts....

Light The Fuse
agree with sushi 9 is the best on bothe fronts - 13 closely follows.

one of the dave seaman buenos aires discs is mixed so perfectly that the tracks are much more than the sum of their parts - so i would place that somewhere in there as well for mixing
