The biggest tools on the planet [student politics related]

Ok so recently at my uni I've gotten involved in student politics. It's interesting to see stuff discussed in detail just like with any other topic. However, during my time and involvement with it lets just say I've met somke interesting people. In particular this one girl. First of all she claims to be libertarian and a radical feminist (two potentially very annoying/dumb ideologies). My first interaction with her was as a member of the greens (a centre left group) she claimed she wanted to join our club's exec because she agreed with us on social issues (she was highly opposed on economic ones obviously).

At first I thought that might be alright but then I saw her facebook and she posts stuff like "trans women are a plot by men to make women feel unsafe everywhere" and lets just say I was strongly opposed. She then proceeded to tell us how she used to be a member of the communists to "manipulate an important girl into giving her connections" and my reaction was just like wtf. Not only is this girl a massive ing liar but she's so dumb she openly admits it too.

Unfortunately the main guy is her friend and really as keen for her to get into the group and the other guy was indifferent/optimistic. It actually took the uni queer space banning her for those and similar comments for them to realise that hey, that comment is actually massively uncool and that we can't have people like that in our exec. They also primarily were going to get rid of her merely cos of bad publicity (the neutral guy was quickly somewhat against her) and not cos of her insaneness and offensiveness.

Anyway, since then the plot has massively thickened. She posts on the political discussion group a fair bit and while that group's mostly civil she always derails threads and just has some ing nuts views. I remember thinking earlier that it seemed a bit like her libertarianism was actually heavily driven by social darwinism (a common theme no doubt) but after some more of her views came to light it became clear. First off lets just say she's ethnically jewish and a massive zionist. Then she goes on to comment on a picture of the kkk saying "I don't need to agree with everyone's right to free speech" and after some much needed elaboration it turns out she believes in the wonderfulness in jesus and despite the fact he was dark skinned and that it's great that the majority of christians are white because she's proud to be white and white people are great.

Suffice to say, this did not go down well. For some reason some softy lefties (especially the leader of the club I was in, who I have lost massive respect for over this) accuse people of calling her out on her bull of bullying her. I'm rather of the opinion that people who have such ed views (and in particular inconsistent ones that change every month like hers do) deserve to be mocked. I've spent quite a few hours with her IRL and trust me she's not trolling, she's about as subtle as a brick.

I especially love the hypocrisy and attention whoring seen here:

Anyway, who's the most outrageous, ridiculous and or annoying person you've met? Cos I've gotta say this chick's pretty memorable. I think she actually beats w ashley on the craziness scale.

Paradox Lost
University student politics not resembling the type of level-headed discourse you expected, OP?

You're wasting your time man. Every single one of those women in that FB thread pic you posted is butt ugly.

Anyone who willingly admits to being a libertarian is probably a ing nutjob.

Anyone who conflates radical feminism and libertarianism is probably also delusional.

Thank you don't have guns in Aus or she'd probably end up shooting everyone she knows in a existential rampage.

I was involved with student politics and found it so assinine. Reallt seems to attract some titjobs

Funny, I just read Thoreau's "On the Duty of Civil Disobedience" last night.

There is something very wrong with that woman. I know this is armchair slychology, but I am really getting an Amanda Bynes/BPD vibe from her.

You should definitely direct her to TA.

The point of student politics is to prepare you for the real world. Sounds like it's doing its job.

LOL, this.

First off, I would direct her to TA but I doubt she likes trance so that's not really an option. Second of all she's only diagnosed with autism and depression (and maybe anxiety). She's not at all bpd. She's loud, obnoxious and bigoted and doesn't care what others think if that's repressing her freedom of speech. She doesn't do the whole love/hate thing so it's not really bpd.

No some of it's quite reasonable. I just never realised that people that ed actually existed.
