Noticed.
Anything with lower rms than 13db starts to sound harsh and painful to my ears.

Thoughts?

RMS.... (= RMS dBFS)

It's just some logarithms  come on, we're supposed to be cyborgs in here. Put up a fletcher munson poster, and a plot of the dB scale in terms f(x) = log x^2 from -1 to 0.

Or loudness units converted in to RMS :p

Those that don't know what I'm talking about, here you go (and you're welcome):

Loudness killed trance people! Loudness kills music! Stop the loudness war. Anything that goes beyond 13db of RMS is a disgrace!

I have analyzed all my favorite tracks. "Casually" it turns out there isn't even a single one that passes that limit!

The more dynamic a track is the better!

An example of a beautiful dynamic track: 20db RMS! You can turn the volume at max and it sounds beautiful. No ear fatigue at all, just pure trance beauty.

IF YOU NEED PRESENCE YOU CAN ADD IT IN THE MIX. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE TO COMPRESS DURING THE MIX AND THEN ADD EVEN MORE COMPRESSION THROUGH THE MASTERING PROCESS.

Just my 0,2 cents.

Wow, that is too ambitious even for more.

Maybe...if I was making classical music.
