I have developed an absolute fanboy crush on his productions and live sets. Havent seen him live yet. Was hoping I could get some recommendations to DJs similar to him. Absolute crate digger and very much has his own unique sound. Not going to lie, his sets almost have a 90s german sound that I crave.

saw ancient methods here in London last week, not sure how he compares to ACR but it was really good, shame he only came on at 6 in the morning when I was really tres knackered. moody and dark techno, very tightly mixed

Yeah, his new album is gorgeous :)

I actually saw him play a liveset last weekend. I recognized some album tracks and some older released stuff. I think he just ran ableton, not too much fuss but the sound design on his tracks is just incredible, especially on a club system.

His DJ sets tend to be quite different from his production. Very straight and can get really, really hard. Kind of depends on the condition you are in. I've passed on some of his sets and just chilled out because I couldn't keep up. Still, his NYE closing set at Berghain last year is the biggest dancefloor annhilation i've ever witnessed and that was at the end of an epic 60+ hour party.

In terms of similiar DJs, not sure if you'll get the chance to hear him but Kobosil is quite similiar. His sets can get quite early 90's trance-y in parts, probably even more so than ACR. He's a young guy, like 22 and he can drop stuff like this:

Bastard! I am actually trying to convince the local promoters to bring him out to LA. I could actually see how he was made for the big room closing set just based on his boiler room set. Its the only boiler room ive seen where the DJ pretends he actually has an interested and enthusiastic audience.

BTW i know you arent a fan of Klock, but I just saw him again a couple of weeks ago, and I thought he was fabulous. But the venue does matter, bc in LA he doesnt just throw jackhammer techno for 4 straight hours. He really built it up slowly before the jackhammer stuff came out and ended it backed down. He dropped this bomb as his last track. also he gave me the ID for it when I asked him at the end which is always appreciated:

I saw Klock a few weeks ago, more by chance since he played a good timeslot and it was surprisingly good. Not mindblowing or anything, but fun to dance to, decently varied, some deep tracks and good volume. Hard to complain about. I just hate the people he attracts here in Berlin and how so many people hype him up as some kind techno-tiesto. I feel like recently he realized what direction his career is going in and he's trying to go against it a bit, which is good.

Oh man, I had the chance to pick up that Fabrizio Lapiana when it came out but I didn't for whatever reason. Now it's impossible to get anywhere and i'm biting myself in the ass :p

Maybe 30-40 bucks? I'd be quick in case they repress..

I was thinking about whoring for promos via a friend but i'm too lazy and have too much shame for that :p Guess i'll wait for the repress if it comes...

Best time of year to be selling too IMO. People are indoors more and feel more spendy with the holidays coming up.
