I really like the piano melody and the intro, but the higher piano line seems a little off key. The other thing that bothers me is the fretless bass, or is it a contrabass? Its picked really hard and it sort of hurts. Better mixing or a different instrument would work better.
The jump from the lovely intro, to the synths is rather a little bit too abrupt. Although the melody is really nice.
The clap sounds "watery" like a water-splash or something, it is a bit of a mood killer in that part.
I would loose the clap in favour of those hats.
The piano works very nice with the introduction of the deeper beat, but then again, that snare...makes the mix sound a little too busy, or how to say it.
I like the breakdown at 3:24 or so... :) it finally seems to work really well together...once you build up again, you use that snare again ... and that kills the mood again. That sound is just annoying in this context.
Otherwise that piano melody is lovely!
Please dont také it as a complaint, I really like the track, but you need to work both on the mix and the connection of the parts, sometimes they seem abrupt, otherwise good job! Keep em comming. Good luck! |
