It's that time of the year where the SAFE family brings back one of the best, Danny Howells for a special 6 hour journey through proper dance music. This is the one party I don't miss every year. If you haven't caught Danny don't slip up on this event. Why go catch 2 hours of a headliner when you can watch a master create a journey?

| AS big of a fan as I am of Danny, this wasn't his best stuff in my opinion, don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but just not what I'm used to from him. It's really great seeing a dj play open to close, we don't get that journey built often anymore. He started off with some great ambient stuff and gradually ran into some dubbier tunes. Then around 1am he got into that spacey Danny Howells type music. Once 2am hit he was on a full on acid house trip for about an hour. Absolutely loved it. He slowed down around 3am again for a breather, was much needed. Tried leaving at 4 again but he was back on that acid house trip and couldn't pull ourselves away. All in all was a great night, fun party and just something different from the normal techno that happens every weekend here. Was great catching up with Danny and was cool his been giving a few of our records some plays. I give the night a 8/10 |
