Yeah, I think there was some kind of disagreement between him and the Berghain staff a few years ago, of which Hawtin began Tweeting about, to which the Berghain responded with some informal outburst ban, or something. In any case, he was Instagraming from there just a year ago with MIDI pioneer Dave Smith, so I guess the ban has been lifted for the time being. |

I saw Richie at Berghain like a year ago so no, he isn't banned. The incident a few years back was that some of his entourage tore down the curtain behind the dj booth and they got kicked out.
Honestly what bugs me the most about the whole thing is that he gets annoyed at someone filming him, yet he is the one that has pushed smartphones in clubs with that Cube crab, has a professional tour photographer and puts out endless content that no one needs. Hawtin is the last ing person that can complain about people filming |
