Most def. Frankly, I think it's their best booking this year.
After a solid 2013, HPC has been a huge disappointment in 2014. |

I thought Deutschmann was at the end of 2013, but you're right, he was in January this year. You know my thoughts on that set :D
Didn't see Delano, though. Wish Mull's set wasn't so short because of his flight delay; he was just getting started when he had to wrap it up. |

| Those are decent names but Ryan Elliott is a monster in the German techno scene. Guy has produced some proper tunes as well. Should be a bomb show, and crossing fingers that HPC gets their sound back one of these days to where it was in 09-12. 🙈 |

That was a damn nice mix. Def agree that this guy is for real.
But I wasn't saying Oliver Deutschmann and Alexi Delano were on the same level (but they're not far off...Oliver plays at Berghain and other Berlin techno hotspots all the time too), I was just saying that HPC has had some good shows (actually just the music, not the show as a whole) this year.
And I wouldn't cross your fingers regarding any kind of production. They don't care about good sound/production in that place. If they didn't have it for Sasha, why would they have it now? Yeah I'm souring on HPC... |

The organizers, I'm convinced, are just throwing parties for their friends. Weird ass vibe with terrible sound. Yet they get good bookings. Sucks. They can do it, I surmise, because HPC gets a lot of foot traffic just because it's HPC and there's multiple parties going on in the same building. It's cuz of this that I'm not attending this party -- just gonna save it for Miami the weekend after (Apollonia and Marco on back-to-back nights!!).
Wish Kennedy would get these shows...funny how we always say that. Ridiculous that the best spot in town (by about 10 miles) gets the absolute fewest shows.
Stoked to check out the new Washington Hifi spot in Orlando soon, hopefully that'll live up to the post Soundbar hype. |
