You don't like anything but yourselves! |

Sounds like she's confused and still hasn't figured it out, as RANN mentioned. :p |
To be honest though, she didn't sound at all confused. Rather, she was puzzled as to why I like women but not men... And she's got a point - the world would be a tad bit better if we were all bisexual, look at bonobos! |

I guess daddy has more in store for his wayward children than just a little spanking. :wtf:
| quote: | | When bonobos come upon a new food source or feeding ground, the increased excitement will usually lead to communal sexual activity, presumably decreasing tension and encouraging peaceful feeding. |
Double score! |

Yeah, minus the incest. Hence why I said "a tad bit better" and not "perfect" :p
But, yeah, wars turned into orgies? That's an improvement! Can you imagine what WWII would've been like if Bonobo Hitler just organised a massive wargie? He would've just said stuff like " the Jews" (literally, in this case), he'd just be known as the Fücker, and once it was over, the losing side would have nothing embarrassing to hide other than a massive case of herpes.
It'd be just a "win-win-wash it with acid" scenario! |

This is what I meant by, "There is probably more of a preference in one respect or another..." and perhaps what Lira would call bi-curious? |
I considered the option of myself being bisexual for a couple of years although now I only consider myself straight. Never sought out an actual encounter with a man, but just as more of an identity exploration/I wonder what that would be like phase (bi-curious). When I'm out and about I notice the good looking people of both sexes, but I'm only magnetically drawn to be in the presence of a woman. When I see good looking guys its more like a passing thought of "damn, he's got a really nice face". I appreciate their attractiveness but that's the extent of it.
I've got a very high sex drive...it is off the meter. I get hit on by men and women pretty often. I'm also very open minded and into dom/sub games in the bedroom (fun!!!) which I think are factors that originally caused me to consider bisexuality.
I've dated a lot of girls over the years who have labeled themselves bisexual, but from my observation its more of a narcissistic and sexual thrill for them to hunt down a hot girl at the bar/club and seduce her. Women have a much easier time experimenting with same sex physical encounters than men do just based on what I've seen and heard. None of the women I met, even the ones that flat out scissor ed other women turned out to be real bisexuals to the extent of having equal capacity to date long term and romantically fall in love with both sexes. (having relationships with, holding hands in public, living together, buying each other Christmas presents, taking the other person around to meet the friends/family)
My conclusion based on my own experiences and those of other open minded folks that I've spoken to: Bisexuality is probably just a sexual thrill/fantasy for a lot of folks. Fantasy and reality are 2 completely different realms however. I have yet to meet a guy or girl who was equally suited to have a relationship with a man or a woman. I bet they exist somewhere, I just haven't met one thus far. When it comes to the desire for long term, stable relationships involving pure intimacy, in my personal experience there has always been a clear preference in either direction that has been demonstrated.
The interesting thing about the concept of bisexuality is that it appears to a relatively recent cultural phenomenon, and a loosely defined one at that. What exactly does mean to be bisexual? It depends entirely on who you ask.
I'm 33 years old, and when I talk to my parent's generation about straight women hooking up with other straight women for fun, it blows their mind. My parents were both huge party people during the 80's and neither of them ever experienced dating someone of the opposite sex who experimented with the same sex. In contrast nearly all of the women I've had relationships with have had at least one sexual encounter with another woman. The recent trend towards acceptance of gay culture and and also the ease of access to free online streaming porn has driven most of the "bisexual" trend I suspect. Nowadays you can type pretty much any combination of sexual terms into a google search, and sure enough there's a high-def video for it. I suspect that this causes men and women to explore areas of their mind/sexuality that they wouldn't have otherwise. No harm in any of this in my opinion. As long as everyone is safe, who cares :) |

Sums up my experience and observations, as well. |
