How are these headphones? Are they poorly built like the V700DJ? Which is better, V900 or the V7506/V6?

Thanks!
LeVouS
Yeah .. i really like to know too .. coz i am looking for a headphones too .. Well from the model its has lesser stylish model .. but i guess should be better than V6

Never heard of them! Anyone got a link they can post to save me the effort of opening a search engine? :D

To tell you the truth, the MDR-V900 isn't much good for DJing - it's even bulkier than the MDR-V700DJ. And sound-wise, it isn't much different from the V700DJ in the bass (somewhat boomy and muddy), and it's brighter than the V700DJ. On an absolute scale, the V900 isn't as neutral or as accurate as the MDR-V6 or MDR-7506.

Shady, why dont you tell em how the V900 and the 7509 are related?
ShadySlim
The MDR-7509 is virtually the same headphone as the MDR-V900 - but the 7509's shell is black instead of the V900's bronze, and the 7509 has a sticker on each earcup that says "Professional".

Thanks Gluegun and Shadyslim for your explainations. I went and bought myself the V7506.

These things sound good BUT they fall apart!!! The round "Barrel" that holds the Earcup fork to the headband breaks. Mine is wired with bailing wire because both are cracked and were hanging buy a thread.

The leather earcup pads are damn hard to find. I doubt they even exist. I gave up looking because I just fixed mine by stuffing wadding around the inside of the ring to stretch the leather. The leather is cracked beyond belief.

This pair of sony personal monitors is Trashed!!! Every DJ I meet just can't believe how "Used" these are.

I have two pairs just in case they fail onstage. The new pair feels horrible. The hard use really makes them "comfy".

Overall I feel that this is a typical "Sony" product. It looks good, sounds good, but is made like CRAP!!

Get Sennheiser HD 25 or HD 25 sp and you'll have no problem. All parts replaceable :D

I've had my MDR-V6's for over a year now..and not only are they durable, but light, and not to mention that the sound quality is amazing....
