They want to use my mixer (DJM600)

they told me I could spin a set, get in free, plus some othe special perks :D

this could mean good things..im trying to get into a dj crew over here...this could be my ticket to spin at other events :D

i havent really spun out over here....more in the chicago/northern IL area

this is going to be fun :D

i think they are expecting 2000+ maybe :)

Thanks :)

yes, i was sure to mention that i would only let them use it under the condition that no drinks were to be near it :)

Also be careful if they want to mount your mixer into a rack for the night. I've seen them scratch the face panels around the screw holes before! Especially if you have a black DJM600 it would look pretty bad with scratches on it. :nervous:

Congratulations.

I'm sure the first few moments you'll feel nervous but then the adrenaline rush will take over and you'll feel GREAT and IN CONTROL!

congrats.. be weary of the other dj's using ur mixer (i would be if i was lending such an expensive piece of equipment that wasn't being "rented" from me).. although the djm600 seems to be the mixer that most clubs (at least in so cali.) use.. surprising amounts of dj's don't really know how to use it to its full potential.. i think the thing that gets to most of them is how to control the headphone volume w/o messing w/ the booth volume (this controls the monitors).. so u might wanna give a quick rundown to dj's that aren't familiar with that setup.. i know it woulda been helpful to a lot of the dj's i seee that get that confused look on their face until they finally get the feel for how it works... i wouldn't even bother explaining effects since u will probably be talking to them in the dj booth as they are getting their stuff ready and if they happen to actually hear anything u are saying, it will probably be every other word at that.. eitherway, im surprised u are doing this for free.. especially if they're using ur mixer.. but shiet, at least you get to spin and theres no complaining about that! good luck!
