Danny Tenaglia @ Guv, Jan 10th (pg. 3)

If Cosmic Gate is the final night, a fitting ending would be them playing their timed set and Mark Oliver wrapping things up after them.

If anyone should play the final song it should be Mark

Guv Finale should have been:

1. Lawler
2. Ferry Corsten
3. Deep Dish
4. Sasha/John Digweed
5. Mark Oliver/Manzone and Strong

Although some of these guys already played it would've been nice if it was planned in a way to get them all to play around the closing dates of the club. Instead DJs that have nothing to do with clubs history are being booked to milk the last remainders of the clubs existence. It just shows the "care" factor in how the club operates when it comes to giving back to the people that have supported the club for years.

I said this in the other thread. They will only stay the course until the end. No point for them to really change up the bookings and toy with people attending.

I would love that list that you made, but as a business I don't know if people would still buy into that as the people who went to those parties don't/rarely going out any more.

Guv got who they could. I'm sure some DJ's have bookings already and it's not a perfect world so they got who they can get.

BTW Sasha + Digweed together again is a fairy tale. Won't play together any more. I'm even surprised Digweed mentioned Sasha a weeks ago on his Transitions radio in celebrating their 20 year Renaissance album.

while i dont care for armin anymore, i think he was a proper finale booking. before he blew up to where hes at now, he used to play guv/KH around 3 times a year. he was the first DJ i ever saw at guv.

Armin is a proper booking for its closing. He hasn't played at Guv as much in recent times but still used to come like 3 times a year. He is part of the club's history.

It would be nice to get Lawler and Ferry again but we can't have them all. Tenaglia is still good because the booking on its own is good, despite him not having much to do with Guv.

BTW tix go on sale tomorrow for Danny

Me too. It was $10 to get in on a regular Saturday night.

Yeah I think Armin made sense...The last one with Maus DID NOT

he should've been booked on the Saturday not the closing night

I'm in for Danny. My actual favourite moment at Guv ever was with him spinning in the main room in 2007 and he dropped losing my religion by REM. All of us started dancing and twirling. It was truly magical so this booking made my day. Armin also has a long history at Guvernment so is a welcomed closing act.
