Should have asked this in the production studio. The software doesn't have the same subtle idosyncratic behaviour as the analogue hardware, which is actually a large part of it's character and charm for me. Look, I haven't used the legacy plug-in in ages so it's hard for me to really compare, but I do love the sound of my MS-20 mini and can't get the same general character from any soft synth I've used, and I'm no noob to sound design either. Can get close with Diva, but it's not exact. Apparently the ipad app sounds more authentic than the legacy version but I haven't used it.
