The music Tchami played was so ing aweful. WTF? Where was Kazell? Digweed was good as always. Kept it more upbeat from what I remember lol. I don't like it when he plays dark/heavy techno. More of a progressive person.
Great to finally meet Swamper! |

Just seeing this thread for the first time today after NYE. IMO, Tchami killed it last night! Killed the vibe, the continuity, the crowd, the essence of a good club night.
Incredibly disrespectful to have a DJ playing dub/rap/electro before Digweed, I seriously doubt that he chose the opener! Early into Digweed's set, there was also a lot of distortion with the bass, but he still brought us a five hour set filled with some great tracks.
I just can't help imagining how this night might have been different with an opener better matched with Digweed's style, how the continuity and flow might have contributed to something entirely more beautiful.
Was great running into so many friends, you know its a good night when it takes 30 minutes to make it over to the restroom from the dance floor, haha! Happy New Year, everyone, awesome music to come in 2015! :) |
I take it "Davi" was the one that played the horrible selection?
Did Tchami play before or after diggers?
Tchami is an amazing DJ, that's why I am confused by this:

Davi is incredible.
Tchami is questionable. Pop EDM/Future house spinnin records crap.
Just not suited for a Digweed night. |

Weird. Because I have heard Davi before and he plays nothing like that either. But I'm pretty sure it was Tchami because it kept poping up on the screen. But it wouldn't be the first time Exchange got the DJs name wrong lol. |

I didn't make it in time for DAVI, Tchami played afterwards before Digweed, sadly. |

Tchami was HORRIBLE! My god. Luckily my buddy and I got in just before midnight and didn't have to tolerate that nonsense for too long. ugh. If I wanted to hear that trash I would've gone to Vegas.
It was nice to see sweetcandy girl again and meet GPC! :D Attending an LA trance event will have to be my next venture... it was also damn cold lol |

+1 on Tchami being a horrible choice for a Digweed night.
I thought I heard Digweed was particular on how DJ's play before he comes on and I can only imagine the look on his face (if he was there early enough) to hear Tchami playing "house" remixes of Coolio - Gangster's Paradise and Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock - It Takes Two. :conf: |

Re-reading it, I totally see where I misunderstood.
Tchami is actually one of my favorites right now. That's why I am so surprised.
I guess to the pureist (like the Digweed crowd) wouldn't like his sound or edits at all. All the EDM "haters" I guess would hate his sound because it does kind of sound "poppy" and a lot of mainstream guys are heading towards that sound as well.
But I guess to each his own in taste... |

i've never heard the guy nor of him... but just based on the description of his track selection sounds like not the right opener for Digweed. |
