OTB episode 96... I keep turning this one on. Before that it was OTB 087 and before that 77, also a set from 2011 as Warung was great.
I first started getting some of his mixes when djmixes2k was running. I mostly downloaded them, sifted through and filed it away with disinterest. Since then I've come back to them (And many of the oslo nights sets they offered) with much interest. This is probably due to the effects of age, kids and a wife (Can't handle old PVD shaking down the house anymore).
I don't really see anyone mention him, and I don't recall ever seeing him in the TA top 250 polls. So if any one is listening to Eelke tell us what you think, favorite tracks mixes etc. |

Huge Eelke Kleijn fan here
Been following his career when he was knwon as Six4Eight....
It wasn't until 2006 that he dumped that prog-trance sound and was more of progressive house DJ. The guy was really belting out solid productions and playing some solid DJ sets. Very versatile in that he was touching on everything in his sets. IMO, he reminded me of what Sander K sounded like in his earlier days. Lately, he has been more of a deep house/ tech house guy. He still plays some epic sets
The Warung set is unreal!!
This mite be my favorite rmx of his
He did give this one a nice update....
quality colab

Check out his remix of Way out West - Surrender
Excellent remix.
Also his track 8-bit era always takes me on a journey when I listen to it. |

I meet up with him every now and then, or more like bump into him about once a year (usually during Amsterdam Dance Event) where we catch up a little. Wouldn't call him a friend but he's a very kind guy I enjoy talking to. I admire his music & career and I am happy to see him doing well. He deserves every bit of it. (He's been a major help in the research phase of my bachelor's thesis several years back.)
Be sure to check out his movie/tv-show productions too. It is amazing how versatile and talented this man is :). |

| I'm quite partial to Lovely Sweet Divine, it's a nice nu-discoish number... new set coming soon which has me playing this song in it. |
