We just experienced a robbery :(

Just started working part-time (evenings) as chief at a supermarket 10km from Amsterdam this week.
Today 21:15hr, just 15 minutes after closing, we heard the sound of broken glass. Not the sound of wine bottles, but the sound of window breakin. First we all went to the front to look but then again glass broke. Robbery!
We all ran to the back (special exit) as fast as we could. 2 black guys with gun and a enormous slashhammer jumped through the hole. The money was just about to be put in the safe.
Police was called and arrived in 60 sec, I jumped in my car and drove to the main entrance but they already escaped the other way across the railway. No way we could follow them.
Poor girls (15-16 yrs old) all in shock. 3rd day I worked there!!!
I thought this was a safe neightbourhod instead of Amsterdam where I worked before (2 robberies in 6 years, one very violent)
To bad I had to leave to pick up my brother, cause I was the only one who experienced a robbery before. I could comfort some of the people.
Damn criminals! :mad:

Banks and gasstations are secure, so they robb supermarkets instead. W
What I experienced, each location every 2-4 years.
The problem is the impact this has on the people working. When it comes to hostages situations, it's horrible for young people! |

We have a welfare system with a 800 euro monthly payment. Why robbing a supermarket for a few hundred euro's of cash?
Creditcard fraud is much easier and isn't so violent |

Sorry to hear that, JP. It must suck. Try to see the good side: no one got hurt :) I know how it feels when something like that happens. :(

No need to bring it into yet another racism thing, fact is every race has criminals, I was in Wickes the other day (DIY store for those who dont have one in their country) and a lad & gal younger than me came out behind me, yelled run & went off with something expensive triggering the alarm, I chased them a bit but they had sum1 driving getaway so they'd gone b4 i got near them, so it's not just 'black' ppl who rob guys, dont degrade another topic with racism plz
