Yeah you're right, I don't use it either for the same reason. But I know of a few guys that swear by it and it does have it's own character as far as distortion plugs go.
Logic's clip distortion is also another one that really has no equivalent, but yeah you need to be a Logic user. |

| Im demoing PSP Vintage Warmer 2 at the moment, might buy it, its heavy but it has a mix knob so you can blend it in - does something nice to the drum bus |

Yeah it's really easy to over do it with that thing, but just a little drive on that alone can work wonders without touching anything else |

thanks i will try and demo some of these, the melda ones seem reasonably priced |

Just snagged Camel Phat for $40 on KVR :)
If you have Bitwig I really like the sound of the built in Distortion plugin for the overdrive, put the Reaktor ensemble I have been using for that to shame. |
