k ummm when i try to play an mp3 thats stereo it sounds all fukked up but when the mp3 is in mono it sounds normal anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?
tu_face
what r u using to play ur mp3's?

What speed is your computer? If it's ultra slow, it may sound good in mono because it has less instructions to decode the sound, and worst in Stereo because your CPU can't handle the pace of decoding in full stereo quality. This could be the problem.

ok ummm i use napster or winamp but ever since i got mah comp it always played it perfect then it jus happened the other day it jus started to sound all fukked up i dunno wat happened ?

k i hope this sample of wat it sounds like works

I listened to your sample, but I have no idea what could cause that. Just make sure you have the latest software of everyhing I guess. Apart from that, maybe your computer's just absolutely...

when was the last time you defragged your hard drive? Try that, also totally uninstall winamp and get the newest version. 2.74 I believe. Do all your mp3's sound this way? Or is it just that one? Does all the other sounds your computer play (besides mp3's) sound this way too? If it does, maybe your sound card is fried.

yea all mah mp3s sound like that no matter if i play it on napster or n e thing and my realplayer sounds like that now too which it didnt yesterday

have ya tried updating your sound drivers? that sometimes resets things...
lesung
where would i go to do that

RichieRich
First you have to know what brand of sound card you have. Then go to the manufacturer's web site, find your card on the site and find new drivers. I redid my computer about 6 months ago and I got awesome new drivers for my soundblaster and it is very old. Made it new again. Peace
