Oh no, he definitely got deep - especially once the sun came up. I'm trying to hunt down a few gems he played that I haven't heard; I'll post 'em once I do.
I love that space - no pun intended - but me for feeling like I just got robbed at gun point. Lol. |

| Lol, no offense man. Would love to hear some of what he played. Really kicking myself for not making the trip from Tampa. |

i know he dropped sordid affair and conjure dreams but those are obv.
hearing mixed reports on how long he played. 8.5 from here. 8 from someone else. 4 to 10:30 said someone else. 4 to 11 someone else. apparently we're not good trackers of time when having fun. lol. but regardless of what the actual set time was i have no doubt this party kicked ing ass. |

We had a good night!
Started with a visit to the Purvis Young exhibit at the museum in North Miami. Pretty fascinating stuff. Then some campfire time at Oleta River where we were staying. It stopped raining just in time to get the fire going and start warming up with some bourbon and chill time.
Ate at Kush which was killer. Great beer selection and the food/service were outstanding. Kudos to them, never thought I would spend $100 at a burger and beer joint!
Headed down to Don't Sit which was a chill, intimate venue. Behrouz was playing and while not totally my cup of tea, it was the perfect way to start the evening. Bar tab was only $35 so thumbs up there.
Left for Space and I noticed some trouble with my clutch... thought ok well I'll just get it looked at when we get back...
Got to Space at 4:30 and was pleasantly surprised when we got in with no hassle and were not charged in addition to our pre-sale tickets. Went upstairs and Maceo was banging out all his re-mixes and productions (whomadewho remix, chelsea wolfe remix, archive remix etc etc). Crowd was perfect size. Around 6am it started getting thicker. Once the sun came up he slowed it down and got trippy for awhile. At this point I could ID less and less but highlight for me was the Locussolus - Berghain edit that was big couple years ago and the new Saturday track coming out on Ellum. Around 7:30 or so Shall Ocin was back up and they were tag teaming things a bit. Crowd didn't really thin out and we left around 8:30 or so. Wanted to stay longer but the wife was done. Maceo killed it though.
Got to the car and long story short, had to call AAA and get the car towed to shop down in Coral Gables by a guy that didn't speak a lick of English. Had to rent a car to get back to our jobs today in Jacksonville so I'm ed. My car is still stuck down there. Don't know if I'm going to ship it or drive down and get it.
That's my story! |
