Static my records is starting to get annoying so I did a bit of research and came across this
| quote: | | The zerostat 3 has been majorly rated for its ability to improve the sound quality of records and cds by removing static, the natural enemy of many djs. It works by incorporating a unique piezo crystal device with generates a positive charge of ions when the trigger is squeezed, which neutralises the negative charge on the record leaving your vinyl smooth and static free. Made from durable hard plastic it doesn't need any batteries or refils and is a longer lasting alternative to a cleaning brush or anti-static fluid. |
Has anyone used this? is it any good? |

that looks pretty cool
i usually don't have problems with static on my records...
it only happens every now and then, i think it has to do with the weather |

| I've used one of these at work (I'm a chemist and static is my enemy when I am weighing out powders etc) and I don't like they at all. The bad aspect is that they can in return build up a positive charge on your record and they can and will shock the out of you too. They may be pretty handy to something that is connected to a grounding wire like electronics, but I wouldn't buy them. |
