Could I get some constructive input on these? Anything you think should be done differently? I really like Hive a lot and want it to be popular. Currently, people are saying the synth needs more "modern" style sounds to show off its ability in that area, so I hope this collection helps meet that demand.

On a more personal note, if you are _not_ satisfied with the patches in the link above, please feel free to speak freely. I'm always looking to improve my work in all aspects. Praise is good for the ego, but constructive input is how you get better. As I do sound design professionally for a lot of other companies, I feel it is my duty to always look for ways to provide the best possible content for the users.

Still working on more stuff for the Hive release, so I will definitely take any user suggestions/input seriously. Thanks :).

Thanks for these Xenos! I'm surprised that nobody has replied yet. I just spent a while playing through a bunch of these and there's a lot of great stuff here - lots of bread-n-butter sounds for many styles. I mostly liked the presets in the Ambient & Film Scores, Electronic Dance Music, Oldschool Sounds, and Sound Effects and Drums folders. The Dubtronica and Future Garage and Hip Hop and Trap sounds didn't appeal to me as much, but that's because I don't really listen to or care for those genres all that much.

Overall, these meet/exceed your usual high standards for sound design. A couple of very minor comments/observations:

I like the fact that you added mod wheel variations to all/most these patches, but I think making more use of aftertouch could improve the performance of some of these patches (although I doubt most users would even care/notice, so maybe it's not worth it).

The volumes on many of the patches are pretty hot and overall could probably use some more balancing out between patches.

The octave assignments are a little awkard for me. I found myself playing some pads/plucks pretty high on my controller than I normally would to hit their sweet spots. It was particularly noticeable when switching to a bass patch. I found that I'd actually have to play some bass parts higher on my keyboard to hit the sweet spot than I'd play one of the leads, pads, or plucks.

Thanks for the input :).

I'm going back and adding more MIDI hookups such as aftertouch, expression, etc. Yeah, we definitely need to go over the volumes as well. That will be the final polish before release. Thanks for pointing out the octave assignments as well. I'll see what I can do with that. BTW, I updated the link above, which does have the octaves transposed on some of the patches. I often try to get things to sound good in octaves above and below just the sweet spots, since a lot of hip hop artists use EDM patches, but often play them in those "outside" octave ranges.

At 240+ patches now. Balanced out the volumes, and I felt many of the EDM patches needed some additional polish. Still need to add additional MIDI hookups, plus I need to add more dance chords, ambient sounds, etc.

These sound great. Really appreciate the freebies man, Hive is a fantastic synth :)

Agree with Cryo about the EDM/Ambient and Film being my favorites.

I've updated the pack yet again with more sounds, adjustments, etc.

Glad to hear these are well received :). Been itching to get back into EDM sound design for a while and thought this would be a good way to do it. While I typically work in other genres, I find changing things up and going in different directions keeps everything more interesting.

When will they release Hive?

The public beta runs till end of March so I'm guessing soon after that.

Trying to balance things out between more typical sounds and those of a rougher and/or textural style.
